"For a sustainable industry" Day

The LIFE byProtVal project was presented to representatives of the industry and the Administration in a Day dedicated to sustainability in strategic sectors of the Valencian Region.

On June 26, 2018, INESCOP hosted the conference “For a sustainable industry”, in which companies, research centers and representatives of the Administration addressed one of the great challenges of the footwear and components industry: sustainability. There, LIFE byProtVal was presented as an example of industrial synergy in terms of sustainability and improvement of the environmental impact in traditional sectors such as footwear.

CONAMA 2018

LIFE byProtVal participated in the National Environment Congress that was held in Madrid on November 28th and 29th, 2018.

The National Congress on Environment (CONAMA) is an essential meeting for environmental networking, knowledge and experiences sharing and the creation of collaborative networks between the different Spanish and Ibero-American stakeholders that work in sustainable development. The aim of its 14th edition, which had more than 8,700 visitors, was to promote the meeting of the challenges that commit Spain within the framework of the UN 2030 Agenda and the EU's objectives for 2020, 2030 and 2050. Not in vain, the motto of the 2018 edition was "Approaching 20.30".

The LIFE project byProtVal was presented by means of the technical communication entitled "Synergies between agri-food and industrial sectors: Promoting the Circular Economy".

ECOFIRA 2018

LIFE byPRotVal participated in the 16th edition of ECOFIRA, the International trade fair for environmental solutions and energies that took place on 06-08 November 2018.

ECOFIRA is a meeting point between companies and public bodies with an interest in efficient environmental management, waste treatment and sustainable development.

The dissemination material of LIFE byPRotVal project was available to visitors of the exhibition area, in the INESCOP space within the REDIT stand (Network of Technological Institutes of the Valencian Community).

Kick-off meeting of LIFE16 projects

LIFE byProtVal participated in the kick-off meeting of the LIFE projects approved in the call for 2016.

On 17th and 18th October 2017, the MCE Conference & Business Centre, in Brussels, hosted the kick-off meeting of the LIFE - Environment and efficiency of resources Projects that had been approved in the call for 2016.

During the first day, four parallel sessions discussed technical issues relating to the different projects. LIFE byProtVal participated in the session “Resource Efficiency/Waste 1”.

After the presentation of different projects, representatives of EASME (Executive of the Committee European Agency for small and medium-sized industries) and NEEMO (external monitoring and support to the broadcasting team) made an analysis of each project, indicating their strengths and possible weaknesses, engaging in a discussion on how to deal with them in order to ensure the adequate development of the project and subsequent sustainability, replicability and transferability.

In addition, representatives of the DG-Environment of the European Commission, EASME and NEEMO presented the novelties of the Circular Economy Package, as well as main particularities of the LIFE programme regarding management, dissemination and justification of projects.

Finally, it is worthy to point out that the event allowed to initiate the first networking actions with projects related to LIFE byProtVal.

LIFE InfoDay

LIFE byProtVal project participated in the networking event LIFE InfoDay that was held in Valencia on May 9th 2018.

With the aim of disseminating the main results of LIFE projects that are being developed in Valencian Community, and in order to promote collaboration among the different participants, the Network of Technology Institutes of the Region of Valencia (REDIT) and the Valencian Chamber of Commerce organized the networking event “LIFE InfoDay”.

In this event, a total of 18 LIFE projects participated, including LIFE byProtVal, which was presented by INESCOP’s representative.

LIFE InfoDay 2019

LIFE byProtVal project participated in the networking event LIFE InfoDay that was held in Valencia on 07 May 2019.

As in previous editions, the Network of Technology Institutes of the Region of Valencia (REDIT) and the Valencian Chamber of Commerce organized the networking event “LIFE InfoDay”. This annual event aims to disseminate the main results of LIFE projects that are being developed in Valencian Community, as well as to promote collaboration among the different participants. A total of 90 attendees participated, coming from companies, Universities, research centres, consulting companies and the Administration, among others.

In this event, a total of 18 LIFE projects participated, including LIFE byProtVal, which was presented by INESCOP’s representative.

Opening of 2019 LIFE call for project proposals. Regional Information & Networking Day

On May 7, the LIFE byProtVal project will participate in the LIFE InfoDay Regional information and networking event.

On April 4, the 2019 call for the LIFE Program was published, which will have a budget of € 400 million (for additional information, please visit the LIFE Programme website).

For this reason, the Network of Technology Institutes of the Region of Valencia (REDIT) and the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia has organized an informative day in which representatives of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition will present the new call for 2019. The event is aimed at companies , public and private organizations interested in applying participating in projects that may receive financial support from the Programme.

In addition, participants of previous calls will have the opportunity to present the most outstanding results of their LIFE projects, including LIFE byProtVal project.
